999 Rejections for Adjudication Date
The adjudication date (DTP*573) on Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) claims can only be sent at the claim or charge line level, not both. If an MSP claim is submitted to CEDI with the DTP*573 at the both the claim and line level, CEDI will set a rejection on the 999 transaction.
Software vendors and in-house programmers should verify their programs will only create the adjudication date at the claim or line level. Suppliers who receive this rejection on their 999 transaction will need to reach out to their software vendor for support.
If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to the CEDI Help Desk at ngs.cedihelpdesk@wellpoint.com.
