Front-End Edit Issue

The July Release on Friday, July 1, 2011 introduced an issue into our production environment. Claims are receiving a rejection for an invalid NPI in the Referring Provider Loop (2310A), Supervising Provider Loop (2310E) and the Pay To Provider Loop (2010AB) although the NPI is valid. These loops are not required but can be submitted. We are working to correct the issue as quickly as possible.

As a temporary solution to this issue, removing the Referring Provider Loop (2310A), Supervising Provider Loop (2310E) and the Pay To Provider Loop (2010AB) before sending the claim will correct the issue. These loops are not required for Medicare to process the claim files.
