CEDI Outage for July Front-End Edit Issue – Thursday, July 7, 2011
National Government Services will bring down the CEDI Gateway at 3:00 p.m. eastern time (ET) until no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 7, 2011 to correct the issue introduced with the July Release on Friday, July 1, 2011. This issue is causing 4010A1 claims to receive a rejection for an invalid NPI in the Referring Provider loop (2310A), Supervising Provider loop (2310A) and/or Pay To Provider loop (20101B) although the NPI is valid.
CEDI will send out a follow up listserv Friday morning July 8, 2011 confirming the issue has been resolved at which time Trading Partners will be able to resubmit their claims. Claims receiving a rejection for an invalid NPI in the Referring Provider loop (2310A), Supervising Provider Loop (2310E) and/or the Pay To Provider Loop (2010AB) and the NPI was valid will need to be resubmitted.
These loops are not required but can be submitted. As a temporary solution, removing the Referring Provider loop (2310A), Supervising Provider Loop (2310E) and the Pay To Provider Loop (2010AB) before sending the claim will prevent the edit from firing. These loops are not required for Medicare to process the claim files.
