Only One Week Left to Register for the CMS National 5010 Testing Week

The National 5010 Testing Week is an opportunity for Software Vendors, Clearinghouses and Billing Services to come together and test their 5010 compliance efforts already underway with CEDI with the added benefit of real-time help desk support.

CEDI will provide support from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. eastern time (ET) Monday through Friday.

Registration to participate in the National Testing Day is available on the CEDI Web site http://www.ngscedi.com under 5010 and D.0 Implementation Information.

All test files sent into CEDI by Software Vendors, Clearinghouses and Billing Services must be with your CEDI assigned Vendor Test ID. Testers must also complete and submit the “CEDI Vendor Test NPI Tax ID” form prior to testing. Requests for a CEDI Vendor Test ID and the “CEDI Vendor Test NPI Tax ID” form can be sent to the CEDI Help Desk at ngs.cedihelpdesk@wellpoint.com.

In addition, for those Vendors, Clearinghouses and Billing Services wanting to test 835 remits, you must submit either a Submitter Action Request Form or the Supplier Authorization form (depending on who owns the Trading Partner ID) with “5010 835 Test” marked. This will need to be done no later than August 8, 2011 to ensure the setup will be completed in time for the test 5010 835 files to be received during the National 5010 Testing Week.

Trading partner testing should include test files that will generate positive and negative results for the applicable transaction standard. The following transactions will be supported during the testing days:

1. Inbound 837 Professional Claim;
2. Outbound 835 Remittance Advice;
3. Interchange Acknowledgement TA1;
4. Acknowledgement for Health Care Insurance 999;
5. Health Care Claim Acknowledgement 277CA; and
6. Health Care Claim Request and Response 276/277.
