National Government Services, Inc. is proud to announce we have again been awarded the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Common Electronic Data Interchange (CEDI) front end contract by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). With this contract, CEDI will continue to provide a single front end solution for the submission and retrieval of DME electronic transactions. CEDI will continue to work closely with our DME MAC software vendors, billing services, clearinghouses, and Trading Partners (electronic submitters) for all of your CEDI needs.

DME MAC Trading Partners (electronic submitters) will continue to send all electronic claims (X12 837 and NCPDP) and 276 Claim Status Inquiry transactions to CEDI. CEDI will continue to return all electronic front end reports directly to the Trading Partner including the 835 Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) and 277 Claims Status Response transactions from the DME MACs.

For more information about how the CEDI contract award will affect you, see our Frequently Asked Questions.

NOTE: CEDI does not handle Claim Status Inquiry (CSI) or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). DME MAC suppliers must contact the appropriate DME MAC Jurisdiction for CSI and EFT information.
