National Government Services CEDI Front-End System Upgrade
As previously announced, National Government Services, Inc. will be upgrading our CEDI front-end software systems in early 2012. National Government Services has met with each of our approved Network Service Vendors (NSVs) to discuss the upgrade, its impacts to our mutual customers and to work together for a smooth migration.
Important Points:
- Trading Partner ID's will remain the same. For example, a CEDI Trading Partner ID would be "B08123456".
- Logon ID's will be changing. The new logon ID will be communicated to each Trading Partner.
- The TRN naming convention will be changing.
- The current format is trn%s (trn#####.txt where - ##### is a sequence number generated by EDI Systems.
- The new format will be TRN.%i.%s (which equates to "TRN.filename.sequencenumber").
- Only Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) will be supported. If you have not moved to SFTP, your NSV will be working to get you migrated.
The upgrade provided by our front-end software systems vendor will have enhanced security features and better functionality to help the CEDI Help Desk service your calls more efficiently. Additionally, the upgrade will position National Government Services to offer further self-service capabilities in the future to make billing Medicare electronically even easier.
