Gateway Transition – Reduction of Capacity for Current National Government Services CEDI Gateway Dial-up Users

Please stop and read the following:

National Government Services Common Electronic Data Interchange (CEDI) previously announced the elimination of the direct dial-up options and is requiring the use of a Network Service Vendor (NSV) to access to the CEDI Gateway. To facilitate this transition, on Sunday, March 13, 2011, National Government Services will reduce the capacity of the CEDI Gateway for direct dial-up and Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) File Transfer Protocol (FTP) users by 25 percent. This reduction only applies to the National Government Services CEDI Gateway for DME trading partners.

CEDI Trading Partners who have not migrated to a Network Service Vendor may experience a busy signal with their dial-up service as a result of this reduction. We encourage all trading partners to move to a Network Service Vendor solution as quickly as possible to avoid this situation.

As a Reminder
As of May 1, 2011, these direct connections and protocols to the National Government Services CEDI Gateway will no longer be supported by National Government Services.
