Common Electronic Data Interchange (CEDI) Maintenance August 16, 2009
Attention All Common Electronic Data Interchange (CEDI) Trading Partners, Suppliers, Billing Services, Clearinghouses, and Vendors
On Sunday, August 16, 2009 CEDI will utilize our maintenance window to deploy updates to the CEDI processing system. During this window, CEDI trading partners will be unable to connect and exchange transactions with CEDI. These updates include:
- When edit C199 is received on the CEDI GENRPT, the value submitted in the CRC01 will be displayed in the "VALUE" field on the report.
- Edit C111 will set on all service lines meeting the edit criteria. Currently, this edit only sets on the first two service lines.
- A fix will be implemented for an issue where some 277 Claim Status Response transactions were not being delivered for the submitted 276 Claims Status Request transactions. This update includes a change to the delivery process where submitters of 276 requests sending multiple Functional Groups (GS-GE) and/or Transaction Sets (ST-SE) within an Interchange (ISA-IEA) may have previously received separate Interchanges for each upon delivery. The Interchanges for multiple functional groups/transactions sets will now remain as one file.
The CEDI Front End Reports Manual describes edits C199 and C111 and is available on the CEDI Web site at www.ngscedi.com.
Please contact the CEDI Help Desk at ngs.cedihelpdesk@wellpoint.com or at 866-311-9184 for more information.
